Well... "the reliability of individual computers in cloud systems is not of key importance" is for sure too clear to be said. Probably it would be more appropriate to say that "server redundancy can provide similar levels of reliability in clouds than more expensive specialized components".

On the other hand, Clouds are not HW focused environments. They area management tools foused environments. The agility to deploy and scale is the key to Cloud success. HW is no more than a commodity.
